"Therefore seeing we
have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint
not." 2Corinthians 4:1
|
Our
worship services are all about our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ and are a true desire to magnify and honor His name.
The worship at Highland Baptist is a Spirit-filled and
Spirit-driven outpouring of the hearts of God's people as they
meet for an intimate time with the Savior.
We bring a morning and evening service each Sunday to His altar and
ask for His control of them and His blessing upon them as His
Word goes forth.
At
10:15 a.m. we offer a blended-music Worship service
consisting of
contemporary worship songs with our praise
band, as well as traditional hymns accompanied by organ and
piano. Special music is provided by our adult choir, soloists
or instrumentalists. The focus of the service is the preaching
of the truth of God’s Holy Word.
(Child Care is provided for infants through 5 years).
At
6:00 p.m. is our power hour service. This is a combination
of hymns and choruses, a special story time for the
kids, special music or our praise
band, and more faithful preaching of God's Word.
On many occasions Christian movie shorts or full length
films are shown in the sanctuary to support the message or as
the message in themselves.
(Child Care is provided for infants through 5 years).
(During all services we have hearing assist devices available
for those that are hearing impaired. Please let our ushers know
you have a need and one will be provided for you.)
It's all about Jesus, so please join us as we worship Him.

Prayer
is one of, if not, the most important aspects of our Christian
life as well as
our church life. Prayer is where we bring our petitions
before God the Father, where we lift others up and lay
ourselves down, where we cry out or gently whisper "Lord, Your will be done in our
lives and the lives of others".
It is an intimate time of turning our attention and
focus fully to His throne of Grace. If you
believe in the vital importance of prayer as we do, then
please join us as we look to the Lord in prayer.
Tuesday
morning men’s prayer time – at 6:00 a.m. a group of
men gather at the church to pray for the many prayer requests
shared at our Sunday
services, given by those
ministered to at our Food Pantry,
as well as those that come by phone and email.
Wednesday
evening prayer meeting – at 7:00 p.m at the church. All are welcome to
come out and join us for a time of prayer and Bible study. (Please
enter the church by the Orange Street entrance).
Wednesdays
Small groups - at 7:00 and 7:30 p.m.
Many of our members faithfully open their homes on a
regular basis for prayer and Bible study. There are currently
groups meeting in Fitchburg and Ashby. If you
would like to be a part of a group in your area please contact
the church office for details.
Our
Annual Week of Prayer – For one week each year (please see
the church calendar) we gather at the church each night at
7:00 PM, praying for many different topics and
areas of ministry, and finishing the week with our prayer
walk. All are welcome to be a part of this very special prayer
experience.
Email
Prayer Chain – We have a dedicated group of believers
that regularly receive emails of prayer requests and pray for
them throughout the day and week if you would like to be a
part of this group and pray for the prayer requests of our
congregation, as well as have your prayer requests prayed for,
please send your e-mail address to Kristin at: prayer@highland-baptist-church.com
and we will be happy to add you to our prayer chain and send
you the prayer requests as they come in.
